Blake Beyel Corporate Counsel · Beyel Brothers Inc.

I'm Blake Beyel. I serve as Corporate Counsel for Beyel Brothers Inc., a heavy equipment rental and crane services company based in Cocoa, Florida. My work sits squarely on the hinge between legal and business: contracts, compliance, risk, vendor review, and the operational plumbing that makes a company actually run.

I came to law through a financial-analysis background. I hold an MBA and an MS in Accounting & Financial Forensics from Florida Tech, earned my JD from Barry University School of Law in 2024, and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. My law school research included a paper critiquing UCC Article 12 and its approach to decentralized virtual currencies.

Legal Overflow is where I work out loud about what AI tools are and are not doing inside in-house practice. I write a weekly article, a dispatch, and the running Case Log, covering both the legal practice and the business functions the practice exists to serve.

There are no sponsors and no advertisers on this site. I use AI tools to draft. It would be hypocritical not to, given what this site covers. Every article is reviewed, revised, and signed off by me before it goes live. The tools I cover are tools I use; when I get something wrong, I publish a correction on the same page.

Editorial standards

I interview real people. Names are changed when a source asks me to change them. I don't accept gifts, equity, or affiliate revenue from any company whose products I write about. I do take on paid engagements through the Services section — those are clearly labeled and run separately from editorial coverage.

If you think something I've published is wrong, write to blake.beyel@beyel.com. I take corrections seriously and publish in-line updates with a visible diff.
